First NoVaMTC Meeting a Success!

At last night’s first meeting of NoVaMTC, Bob Sachs mesmerized us with a great activity about Conway Rational Tangles. If you weren’t able to join us, I posted a brief description of the activity on my blog.

Attendees had a great time, and they thought that another meeting before the end of the year would be a good idea. They also thought that a meeting around the time of SOL testing would be a good “sanity break,” so attendees asked that the second meeting be held:

Tuesday, May 24
NCTM Headquarters

For the fall, we will meet once a month, and we will alternate between Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Once all folks have their fall schedules in order, we’ll revisit the time; some folks suggested that 5:30-7:00pm might be better.
